Welcome to My Store

 Heritage & Roots
Welcome to White Thunder Designs. I am an Indigenous creator and artisan from the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation of North Dakota. My father was an environmentalist and activist of the Assiniboine and Gros Ventre Tribes in Montana. As a mother and matriarch, I carry the traditional teachings and customs of my tribes. My creations reflect the strength of a resilient people who have endured over 500 years of genocide—yet we are still here.

"At White Thunder Design's, we don't just create jewelry - we weave stories of our Northern Plains Tribes, Hidatsa, Gros Ventre, and Assiniboine, into every piece. Each item is handcrafted with care, drawing inspiration from the rich traditions, timeless beauty, and artistry of our Ancestors. Our work is a blend of traditional culture and modern styles, a testament to our resilience and adaptability.

When you wear our pieces, you're not just accessorizing - you're carrying with you a piece of history, a narrative that has weathered the sands of time. Our craftsmanship is a proud declaration: we are still here.

In a world where cultural appropriation is all too common, we urge you to make conscious choices. When you buy Native American products from businesses not owned and operated by actual Native Americans, you become part of the problem. Stand with us by choosing authentic Native American owned and operated businesses. Your choices can help preserve our heritage and ensure our stories continue to be told by us, for us."

My Story

My story is one of many all too familiar to the first peoples indigenous to these lands, I am one of many of the survivors of the Indian Residential Schools and Religious organizations. I survived the unthinkable, and did not know how to process my trauma, so I turned addiction as a way of an escape. Creator helped me to find recovery by reconnecting with our ceremonies and culture. I have been blessed to walk the red road for 11 years now, and in reconnecting with our cultural teachings I started to learn how to make our traditional jewelry and regalia. I want to leave something for the next generations in my family to support themselves, while promoting and advocating for MMIP (Missing and Murdered Indigenous People) because my sister Deidra Ashley Jackson went missing and murdered in 2021.
